Empowering
Deaf Inclusion in
Engineering

Integrating deaf awareness into the fabric of engineering,
fostering creativity, driving innovation and building a more
inclusive and accessible future for everyone.

Why E-DAP?

Imagine a world where talented individuals are held back
not by their abilities but by barriers in communication and
understanding.

Deaf and hard of hearing individuals often face these
challenges in engineering — a field that thrives on
collaboration and innovation.

At E-DAP, we believe inclusion isn’t just a box to tick. It’s
the foundation for creating better solutions, innovations
and ideas.

INCLUSION AS A CORE VALUE

Everyone is heard and all

voices contribute

E-DAP isn’t just another EDI initiative – it’s a movement for
meaningful, measurable change in engineering.

Our vision is to empower engineers, educators, and organisations
to embed accessibility into the core of their work, not as an
afterthought but as a standard. Through innovative tools,
knowledge-sharing, and practical solutions, we’re breaking barriers
and creating a future where engineering truly works for everyone.

engineers teamed up to tackle real-world accessibility challenges

Raising Awareness

Through engaging webinars, peer-to-peer mentoring, and social media, we’re starting conversations that lead to action

Collaboration and Innovation

By working with partners like Google, the Engineering Professors Council, and RNID, we’re creating new tools and
solutions to help the deaf community—and, ultimately, everyone.

Practical Guidance

We provide organisations with tailored guidance on embedding accessibility into their processes. From training sessions
to best practice frameworks, we ensure accessibility becomes a seamless part of day-to-day operations.

Consultancy Services

Our consultancy helps organisations identify challenges, develop strategies, and implement solutions that meet the
needs of diverse communities. We work closely with teams to ensure long-term, impactful change.

What we do?

In December 2024, E-DAP was recognised by the Association
of Association Executives (AEE) for the meaningful change
we’re delivering in EDI in engineering.

This award highlights our practical approach to embedding
accessibility and inclusion across the industry.

We’re equipping engineers, educators, and organisations with
the tools and knowledge they need to create lasting impact,
ensuring accessibility becomes the standard, not the exception
